Collaborating with Synergy Platform

Synergy Platform is used for collaborating with teams and connected users for projects and product creation. Both the Managed and Unmanaged documents can be used in collaboration whether that is for sharing documents or for services like the Synergy Configurator to configure a product with sales teams and customers.

Sharing and Viewing

Documents in the Unmanaged and Managed folders can be viewed (if there is a connected viewer) or shared (for IronCAD 3D Content) for viewing. Each file has options to the right of the document to allow the viewing and sharing with users. When selecting Share option on IronCAD 3D files, these will generate a sharable link that can be used with anyone outside of the Synergy Platform (the link will also be create in the Temporary Folders in the Unmanaged Documents for reference that will be available for 7 days).

In the Unmanaged section, you can also place files in the Shared Public folder to share with any user connected (or has an account) to the Synergy Platform. The company folder can be used to share among users in your company.

Creating 3D Configurations

Using the Synergy Configurator (which is a service that needs to be requested by the company administrator and will need a user license), users can configure products in 3D to give accurate 3D representations and real-time quoting. Synergy Configurator works with IronCAD intelligent data stored in lightweight secure configuration catalogs to allow simple drag-and-drop design on any device over the cloud. Once a design is configured,data can be shared back to engineering teams in the Synergy Platform to load back into IronCAD to automatically connect the real design data based on the configured data locations.
